The Grand Curtius is a museum of art and history that brings together over 5,000 m2 of collections divided into 5 departments: Arms, Archaeology, Religious Art and Mosan Art, Glass and Decorative Arts.
During the tram construction works, the glass department was placed in reserve.
Unique in the concentration of masterpieces in its collections, the museum presents a variety of artistic, craft and industrial practices, in such diverse material manifestations and illustrating such a broad chronological span, from prehistory to the present day.The exceptional quantity and quality of the collections brought together in a remarkable architectural ensemble should reveal a grandeur with which Liège cannot be dissociated. The Palais Curtius (17th century), the museum's emblematic building, houses the world-renowned arms collection.
